Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship Program awards $50,000 to Deuel High School graduates
Graduating seniors at Deuel High School in Clear Lake, South Dakota, were awarded the 4th Annual Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship, receiving donations totaling $50,000.
The scholarship recipients were celebrated at a ceremony at Deuel High School along with members of the South Deuel Wind Project team and participating landowners of Invenergy's Deuel Harvest Wind Energy Center Jim and Linda Dailey and Greg and Darla Toben.
Jim Dailey spoke at the ceremony and expressed his belief in the importance of industries contributing to their communities. Deuel High School Career Advisor Leslie Larson-Cutshaw also acknowledged the impact of the scholarship, particularly for students with financial constraints. She expressed appreciation for the scholarship's contribution and hoped for its continued provision to support future students.
Past recipients of the Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship have used the funding to pursue higher education in programs within the medical field, engineering, wind energy maintenance, and various other fields of study. We are dedicated to supporting youth programming and education in our partnering communities and will continue to support the scholarship program every year for the project's life.
