South Deuel Wind sponsors Crystal Springs Rodeo for 10th year
Invenergy and the South Deuel team have sponsored Deuel County’s Crystal Springs Rodeo in Crystal Lake, South Dakota for the last 10 years - furthering our commitment and engagement to area and the surrounding community.
“The Crystal Springs Rodeo is an amazing part of life in Clear Lake and we’re proud to have been a sponsor for the last decade,” said Dan Litchfield, Senior Vice President, Invenergy. “I remember attending the rodeo early on with a few of our landowners. Now, 10 years later, this community is producing enough domestic energy to power hundreds of thousands of homes with more on the way. We’re grateful to be here in Deuel County and excited to continue our support.”
Invenergy developed Deuel Harvest Wind Energy Center, which achieved commercial operations in 2021, and is currently developing the adjacent South Deuel Wind. Combined, the projects can produce enough energy to power more than 215,000homes with American-made electricity and will invest more than $7 million in Deuel County every year through lease payments and taxes.
“Invenergy has been a valuable partner for the last 10 years, and we’re grateful to have their support in this year’s Crystal Springs Rodeo,” said Cody Krause, Board President of Clear Lake Area Development Corporation and board of Crystal Springs Rodeo. “Their contributions help us put on one of the largest rodeos in the world, and we're excited to reach this milestone with Invenergy.”
